Making the Magazine Cover
What an exciting time! Lake Erie Living Magazine has honored us by using a Making the Moment photo for the cover image of their February Issue!!
If you remember, a few months back, I was interviewed by Sharon Doddroe and Jennifer Boresz on an article they were putting together for lakeside wedding photography. I was able to supply them with a few tips on getting some nice shots while working on the beach side. They had also asked I submit some of my favorite Making the Moment beach-side wedding photos – and I did just that.
Could it be any cooler? One of our photos was chosen to be the cover-shot for the entire issue! What’s more, one of my photos from Andrea Buter and Jamie Clark’s wedding was chosen for a 2 page opening spread for the entire article. What a great thing!
The cover image itself, was from our last wedding from the 2008 wedding season – Lisa & Scott Pogros. I shot the wedding, alongside Tom, who was assisting me that day. As I was setting up Lisa for a nice shot on the rocks, Tom snagged this one-of-kind shot – and now is privileged to have it as the cover photo! Of course, I’ve teased Tom a plenty – as that day he was shooting as an apprentice. Way to top the pro Tom – I’m so proud of you!
If you can’t tell, Tom is a super-talented guy, and already proving himself to have a lot of talent as a photographer. If while shooting his second wedding he was able to snag that shot – just wait to see where he goes in the years to come.

Aww… thanks Kathryn – you’re great! What’s weirder still, was being at borders the other day with my wife, and seeing the magazine on sale in the magazine racks. What a weird thing it all is.
Congrats to you Brett. I’m Lisa’s mom. Imagine seeing your daughter on the cover of a magazine! You guys were AWESOME! Everyone loved you and the whole wedding party had so much fun. You really made Lisa & Scott’s day special. Keep up the GREAT work! By the way, I have about ten copies of the magazine!
