The Engagement Session

By January 17, 2009January 10th, 2018Around Here, , photos

Every now and then I get the opportunity to do some “advance” wedding photography for a couple – often called an “engagement session”. These are always fun, and are great at providing myself and the couple a chance to get to know each-other better… and of course the opportunity to take great pictures.

I just had the privilege of shooting an engagment session with Katie & Phil. You might remember these two from a few months ago when we originally sat down together. If not – here’s a chance to get to know them all over again!

In what was perhaps the coldest photo-shoot I’ve ever conducted, the three of us spent the day around good ol’ Rocky River, snapping fun and creative shots. We had a journey too – starting at Rocky River park, heading over to some fun industrial areas, and ending our time with some hot cocoa at Starbucks. These two are SO much fun… they made me laugh so much, and you can tell they are genuinely in love. I fully enjoyed the time we spent together, and I’m so proud of the fun shots we created. Now I’m more excited than ever to shoot their upcoming wedding this July!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures we took (between taking warm-up breaks in the car)!
