I love our clients, I really do. And I love capturing and preserving the essence of their love in a still image. When you get to work with awesome couples like Melissa and Jeff, it’s fun and easy to create imagery that showcases the depth of their love and commitment. 
Before their wedding and reception at westwood country club in Rocky River, I remember speaking with Melissa on the phone, and her car had been broken into and stolen. I felt so bad for her, but was so impressed with her ability to be joyful and positive amidst a rough time in her life. That’s when I knew she was a seriously cool person, and I was so excited when her and Jeff chose to work with me.
I loved Jeff’s little wedding day “dance-off”. The guy has moves.
Before their wedding and reception at WestWood Country Club in Rocky River, I spent the morning with the ladies capturing candid and photojournalistic wedding photography, capturing images to tell story. 
Melissa’s ladies were a bunch of fun, I laughed so often with them that my sides hurt at times while I was taking pictures. I really had fun getting to know them!
Being a photojournalistic wedding photographer in cleveland, I think it’s super important to capture these images as the occur naturally. I often see wedding photographers in cleveland who attempt to stage these images hoping to give them the feel of a true photojournalistic photographer, but I think the real moments shine best when captured naturally.
I introduced Melissa & Jeff before their wedding and wedding reception at WestWood Country Club in a private way, that way they could share some time with each other before all the fun of a wedding day.

These two are so fun, and I loved making artwork happen with them. I really believe in letting couples loosen up and relax as I work with them – that way I can capture them in their element – not in some overstaged way.
See that? That’s true love. Jeff loves her bunches – and Melissa loves him back, as plain as that 🙂 It’s real and true, and I’m so thankful I got to create with them!
Any modern wedding photographer in Cleveland will tell you that the environmental features that surround a couple are important in helping to frame the image as well as set the tone of the image. When I saw this sweet little set-up, I took a few moments and escorted the two of them into the image I saw, and so thankful I did, as it turned out to be a pretty nifty image.
As I said, the girls were loads of fun. I loved creating some funky and fun group images with them!
I think that having energy and life is important to being an artistic wedding photographer in Cleveland. Sometimes wedding photographers border too much on lifeless and stale images, but when you can bring some fun and energy into your wedding images? Then you can capture and create true memories.

What a fun bridal party! We rocked out some creative wedding photography at the beach before heading on over to their wedding and reception at WestWood Country Club in Rocky River. 
I’m particularly proud of the color and tone of these images. I’m a freak for editing my images personally and by hand, and I love ensuring that the colors and tonality match the actual feel and memory of the day as a first hand observer. With their wedding at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church there were many candid and important moments for me to capture.
The black and white image above of Jeff and Melissa embracing is far and away one of my very favorite wedding images of all time. It’s simple, and yet communicates so much at the same time. I was pretty picky on making it a black and white too – thereby eliminating as many distractions to the simplicity of the meaning of the image as possible.
Oh for Joy – one of the best “bubble exits” of all time!
Melissa and Jeff had their wedding reception at Westwood Country Club in Rocky River Ohio. We are one of the preferred wedding photographers for WestWood Country Club, and love photographing there.
I love capturing the little moments of the formal dances at wedding receptions. Careful lighting and being careful to pay attention for the right moment to fly the shutter have made all the difference in capturing meaningful images like the above.
The reception at WestWood Country Club was unreal – thanks to the supreme musical talents of Cleveland Wedding Band Redline, courtesy of Jerry Bruno Productions. The ladies even had a choreographed flash mob dance that they had put together, where even random guests jumped in and joined on the dance floor. It was fun to watch, and even more fun to photograph.
WestWood Country Club is one awesome venue for a wedding reception on the west side of Cleveland. Westwood Country Club has an elegance and a classic feel to it that the typical wedding reception venue lacks, and I love photographing there!
