Jaclyn and Chris were so so awesome to work with. Their wedding was one of those miracle weddings where it seems like there is a 110% chance it’s gonna rain and have super sucky weather and then magically turns out awesome. Honestly, the whole day was super laid back and amazing. What more could you ever ask for?

What a killer dress! It fit her like a glove. She could not have picked a better dress in my opinion. It was absolute perfection on her.
She wanted to have a first look with her dad and brother before her first look with Chris and it turned out so well! I really loved the idea of being able to see the men most important to you before the new man who is most important to you.
Cutest flower girl of all time? Yes.

After the first looks we left for the beach. Oddly enough, my parents had come down from Michigan for Memorial day and my dad took us out fishing and we docked our boat in port clinton. So when we were scouting for a place to shoot, I realized where we were and ended up at the same place. What are the odds? It even had this amazing little beach area off to the side. It was such a small, hidden place that nobody else was there which was awesome for photos.
Seriously Jaclyn?!!! STUNNING. And seriously mother nature? Thank you! Not too hot, not humid, just totally perfect blue skies.
I’d like to tell you a funny (and completely terrifying) story of what I go through for photos. I had Ryan helping me at this wedding and had him holding my light off to the right side. I ran all the way around and was standing on a bunch of rocks on the other side. I’m totally into it, getting the lighting just right and out of NOWHERE a snake jumps out at me!!! I freak out. I run away frantically hopping from rock to rock to get to solid ground. I am not very coordinated so it’s a miracle I didn’t fall down and cut my face up or something.
Let me tell you another story. After shooting a bunch of other things, I went out on the dock across from where the wedding party was to take this cool far away shot to show the storm clouds coming in. I’m over there and AGAIN out of nowhere comes that same snake! I scream, jump, my heart explodes and at the same time I think I scared the snake and he jumped off the dock into the water.
For anyone in the wedding party who saw the snake before me and didn’t yell over warning me… you suck. 🙂
Fortunately, this was the last time my life was threatened on their wedding day.
Jaclyn and Chris then came over to the dock to take these super crazy awesome photos. The snake was long gone by now.
Mon Ami is such a cool place to shoot! I loved their cellar. They even do ceremonies down there but Jaclyn was super optimistic that the rain would hold off and refused to move it inside. Turns out, she was totally right because the weather was absolutely perfect during their ceremony time. Miracles happen people!
Haha Look at the focus on Ryan’s face! I sent him to change the setting on one of my other lights and he didn’t miss a beat. Gosh I love that man!
Go Blue? From what I hear, those are dangerous words to say in Ohio…
They had such a stellar party! The dance floor was packed most of the night and everyone just had a blast.
It was such an awesome day and I so enjoyed Chris and Jaclyn. I’m really hoping to see them again to do family newborn photos when they decide to pop out some children. 🙂
