48 hours ago these two were wed. They became one. Their families joined, and their lives together began. It was wondrous.
Seen above is a shortened sample of the Same Day Edit of their Wedding Cinematic that we crafted. In 60 seconds, you get a sense of the joy and fun of their 3 day wedding weekend.
You’re correct if you’re thinking “Wow – this is fast – Brett normally doesn’t blog imagery so quickly after a wedding”. You’re right.
Legit; Brian challenged me this weekend. Brian, Our Cinema Lead killed it, by producing a Same Day Edit on their wedding film. For five hours he locked himself in a backroom before their wedding reception and cut together a masterful short film that highlighted the days of coverage that had occurred.
This inspired me. And so here we are now.
Sara [ our social Media Guru ] on the team asked me to select one image to release today to celebrate them. I seriously couldn’t pick one, it was too tough. So I carefully selected a few teaser images and chose to share them with you now. This is just a peak at the artwork to come. I hope you enjoy.
Besides. How can I not share images of these two? I had a blast this past week with them, their family and their friends.
That’s what I love about my work. I not only get to photograph people, but I get to build relationships and friendships with them while I do it.
Oh dang. We laughed so hard. “Chinchilla” screams Puja, while Savan yells out “Ta-Da”. Too funny. #insidejoke
Savan makes Puja Laugh. Before I met Savan, Puja told me this about him – that one of her favorite things about him was how funny he was.
He loves Puns too. That’s a win in my book.
These images here are from early in the morning of their wedding day (day #3 of their Indian Wedding weekend). They were introduced privately as the sun rose.
It was beautiful.
One of my favorite parts of being an Indian Wedding Photographer? The Barat. Yes. The Barat.
The Barat at an Indian wedding is like a big parade, but with super loud beats, and sometimes a horse.
Freaking love this tradition. As the groom reaches the entry to the wedding ceremony, the mother of the Bride will try and steal his nose. He tries hard to stop her.
Hansa totally did. Nose stolen.
Regal. As Puja came down the aisle towards Savan that’s what I thought in my mind. She is Regal.
The flames at the ceremony might have gotten a wee bit out of control at one point 🙂
I also love this about Indian weddings. Attire change. This is outfit #3. I love the multiple photography sessions I get to take my couples on during the weekend.
Puja = super beautiful
Puja’s father, Kishan, is clearly a connected and loving father. At the wedding reception he was moved to tears by a song that he had asked a family member to sing for everyone. It was touching to witness.
And then the party after was absolutely crazy-go-nuts. I’ll tell you more about it, and share more imagery as we get closer to their set being fully released. For now, this teaser set of imagery will have to do!
