So, Anna [ our amazing Cinema Lead ] and I got to hang out with Amanda and Matt at their Lakewood home recently. It is such a cozy home, there are high ceilings, wood [ wood e’rywhere] a big porch and their two cats!

[ This is one of them, Kiki. So, I am not a cat person, at all, but I’m not going to lie, this little guy was sweet. ]

I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with these two. They are clearly in love, super adorable and their personalities really balance each other out. Amanda is kind, structured, a go-getter [ she’s currently finishing up her M.D. ] she’s sharp as a tac, smart as a whip and classy as hell. She’s the type of gal who could keep her cool in the most stressful of situations. Matt is just a doll. He’s also kind, ridiculous, a jokester, creative [ he’s a filmmaker ] easy-going and just a total goofball.

They are so great for each other and you can tell that they both admire each other for who they are.

It’s amazing, their relationship reminds me a lot of mine and Elliott’s relationship actually – he’s like Amanda and I’m like Matt ] It’s no wonder I just adore these guys.

Have you heard about our Wedding Cinematic?? [ Check one out, it’s amazing ]  In case you aren’t familiar with them, let me give you a rundown:

A WEDDING CINEMATIC IN A NUTSHELL

What’s that? Conveniently placed self-promotion? No…We would never do that.

  • They are documentary-style pieces
  • They are not wedding videos
  • They tell your story as a couple
  • They do not suck, like the aforementioned wedding video
  • They are so magical and lovely that your eyes will cry tears of joy as you watch one and your favorite uncle will high five you.
  • They are made of unicorns [ mostly ]

Anyway, this is important because we have the privilege of creating a Cinematic for Amanda + Matt and [ because we can’t do it any other way ] we go all out when we produce a Cinematic; lifestyle sessions, interviews, cats, pizza, drones, bad jokes, shark shirts, Paramore songs, etc.  We do our engagement photography sessions in tandem with our lifestyle film sessions. Theirs is one of these sessions.

Their wedding is in eight days. EIGHT days. I am so excited for it. I’ve heard so many stories of Amanda’s family, I can’t wait to meet them! Especially her brothers and I can’t wait to see Matt’s family again! We finished out their creative session and Matt’s parent’s house. His family was so warm and welcoming — they ordered us pizza too 🙂

I’m so happy that you two found each other and I can’t wait to spend your wedding day with you 🙂
