I feel incredibly lucky; I have the BEST couples and I love getting to show of their weddings!!! This is Roshi and Jerry, they’re cute, young and madly in love.  They met in college, fell head-over-heels and then had a kick-ass wedding surrounded by family, loved ones and moi! [ plus my super awesome lighting director, Danielle ]

Their wedding was Memorial Day weekend and [ as I’m sure you all know ] Cleveland is notorious for its “I don’t know what I want to do this weekend” weather. [ By the way, my wedding is next Memorial Day weekend ]

Like its many predecessors, Memorial Day weekend of 2017 did not disappoint. The forecast showed heavy rain, intense storms and an all out wedding massacre. It was a stressful week; everyone crossed their fingers and prayed for a sunny day.

And it totally worked.  The day was gorgeous! Thank you Cleveland!

I love that we do full day wedding photography coverage because I love everything I get to see before the day unfolds. Like all these super cute moments.

They had their wedding at the MOCA — if you haven’t been there, check it out, it is beyond cool.  The building on it’s on is a work of art. So, obviously I wanted to do their first look there. From a photographic standpoint, this was unbelievably risky; the building is a crazy reflective geometric structure that is awesome to look at but tricky to photograph. Of course, I had to do it! I’m all about the photographic risks; when it pays off, it pays off. And it paid off.

We explored downtown, hung out around public square and created beautiful imagery of this GQ af a couple.

It’s so easy to work with couples who trust me! There were quite a few times during their creative session where I stopped them and said “oh hey, let me try something” [ more accurately “stand right there and lets do this shit” ]

HAHA. I alway love when I get to ride on the party bus. This was one of those “do this right now, I have an idea” I totally laid on the ground to get this shot. Gross? Maybe. Worth it? Yes.

It was perfect; before their wedding at the MOCA Cleveland we had about an hour downtime to decompress and relax before the ceremony.

Notice; Roshi helping Jerry relax. So happy I caught this.

Their ceremony was unlike no other. First of all, it was at the MOCA, which is awesome. Second of all, Roshi is Persian and Jerry is Indian and they totally pulled traditions from both cultures and created an amazing experience for everyone.

Something else super cool, their friend married them and then Roshi’s brother married them. I love when couples choose to have a loved one marry them, it’s extra special. [ Shout out to my boi Tyler, who is marrying Elliott and me next year, on Memorial Day weekend!!! Love you!!! ]

JERRY was the frickin’ cutest. I want to call this the “I just got married, check out my bling, happy dance”

Their reception was killer. Seriously, these guys knew how to party and how to dance.

You know what the best thing ever is? When during a couples “thank you” speech they complement their wedding photographer. It’s so unexpected; it always catches me off guard and ALWAYS chokes me up. 🙂  [ Lets be honest, most things at a wedding choke me up… mainly the father/daughter dance. Just sayin’ ]

By the end of the night I was so ready to NOT LEAVE, ever. It was that much fun.

I wish these two the best in all of the years and all of their adventures to come.
