What is your Pricing / Packaging?
Please see our Wedding Investment Page for more information on investment options for our creative wedding photography
Where Can I See Some Reviews / References?
We have an unparalleled reputation for over-serving our clients. To get a small taste, please see our review page on Wedding Wire, full of enthusiastic brides & grooms. Want something more personal? Please touch base with us, we’re fortunate enough to have a few wonderful clients who have volunteered to speak with you about the art we’ve created for them, and the fantastic experience they’ve had with us.
Is Photography Your Full Time Work?
Yes, but it’s more than just that – it’s a passion. Each of our wedding photographers are full time professional photographers. This is VERY important as you search for your wedding photographer – a full time photographer will bring a new level of service, quality & dedication.
How do you Describe your Style?
Some describe our style as modern, yet classic. Others quirky and dramatic, still others as natural and uncontrived. The truth is, it’s all those things and more.
Rather than try to label our images, we’d like to share how we make them.
We are as unobtrusive as we can be through most of the day, watching events unfold and anticipating moments. Call it photojournalism if you must – we are simply there, observing, waiting and creating as the occasion warrants.
During the photo session with you and your bridal party, we will take control and set up the shots – we use our expertise to find the best light and backgrounds for your session, use our eye to create tableaus or stories to capture, and direct you only as much as is required. With some groups we are more hands-on in our direction, and with others we are able to offer less. Regardless, we work with you to create images that stand alone as works of art.
Do you Retouch / Edit your Photography?
Yes, every wedding photo we artistically create is hand-toned in Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Photoshop, our unique style is custom and intensive. Our extensive & stylistic retouching method is a core part of our creative process. Your wedding does not get outsourced to a studio intern or outside firm (this is common practice in the wedding photography world!), rather, each image is refined individually by the photographer who created the image.
Yes, we carry professional Liability Insurance through CNA / Wells Fargo, certificate available upon request.
Are you Comfortable Photographing in Low Light Environments?
Absolutely – from low light, to intense out door lighting – we specialize in creatively using available light. Our high end lens collection helps wonderfully to give us the edge in even the most demanding of situations.
Do you work with Digital or Film?
We do work in digital, although you’ll find a few of us will still bring along a polaroid camera or two just for fun.
How Many Photographers are on Staff?
We have a small highly talented staff – 3 photographers, all highly trained and passionate about what we do.
Will I Get to Work with the Photographer I Selected?
Whether it be our chief photographer and owner Brett, or one of our other talented photographers, the photographer you choose for your day will be with you for the entire day of your event.
Do you Book Yourself for More than One Event per Weekend?
Our current policy is that no individual photographer is ever booked for more than one event in a day, and no photographer handles more than one event per weekend – we want to give you our 100% attention on your wedding day. We have nowhere else to be but at your side, serving you fully.
What Happens if you Get Sick / Hurt on the Day of My Wedding?
This is a great question to ask any wedding photographer you are considering for your day. To date we have never missed an event due to sickness or injury, but if it should happen, we do have high quality back-up photographers on staff. Beyond that, we are upstanding members of our local photographic community and are able to draw from a network of high-end colleagues should the need arise.
Do you Bring Back-up Equipment?
Yes, always – every piece of equipment we shoot with has a back-up.
For local weddings, if the event is within a considerate distance of our home office we do not charge for travel. We can custom quote any travel – but most situations with us do not require travel fees.
How Long Does it Take to See our Images?
We have an extensive post-production process for your imagery – because we retouch and creatively produce EVERY image we deliver in your set, a typical turn-around ranges from 8-10 weeks. All delivery dates from us are written into and guaranteed in our booking agreements, and we do invite you into our creative meeting space for your very own wedding photography premier night. Be wary of wedding photographers who offer very fast turn-around times – they simply aren’t spending the quality time on your images that they deserve.
Do we Receive Digital Files of Our Images?
Yes, we believe highly in this – all packages come standard with full resolution images with home-printing release.
Are you a Member of Any Professional Organizations?
We are proud members of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
How Long Have you Been in Business?
We have been in business since 2005.
What Forms of Payment do you Accept?
Everything under the sun you can think of – check, money order, credit cards. We might even get talked into a trade if you happen to have some Great Lakes Christmas Ale laying around
Do you Cover Destination or International Wedding Photography?
Absolutely, we’ve criss-crossed the continent serving brides and grooms, and will gladly do it again.
