I love it when my couples want to show off our city. Our Cleveland.
Jackie and Joe are Chicago-ites now, (Yeah, I butchered that) but they haven’t forgotten from whence they came. In that light, the day took place in our gorgeous University Circle area on Cleveland’s heralded East Side.
Haha, do I sound like an East-Sider? I am 😀
Married in the historic Hanna Courtyard and partied at the Cleveland Historical Society. Photos were all ’round the area betwixt. I don’t know what’s wrong with me today, just roll with it. I’m weird. Actually, here’s a shot of solace, they rolled with it, and their images turned out phenomenal 🙂
^^This is Jackie’s sister, Hallie. Not only an excellent party member, but also a client (lol) Vince photographed her wedding earlier this year! Sibling rivalry to the max.
I wish I had the backstory on why beef jerky is important, but it is 😀
They totally caught me, here. I was trying to be sneaky. Look at Hallie’s face, haha! Wtf indeed.
Joe was away from the craziness. It was an odd dynamic in the morning. There were no less than 15 girls in Jackie’s room. Friends, family, all hustling and bustling. Joe was prepping across the street. Enjoying a fair share of solemn and quiet. I don’t even know which mood I preferred. I enjoyed them both.
morning preparations for the women were housed at The Glidden House. I absolutely love this building and space. This is the entry-way. The first dose of awesomeness to be followed by more awesomeness.
Jackie gave her sisters gifts. They were surprised, then they danced. Quite a dance, indeed.
I really do love a classic space. Turn of the century. Thick moldings, wooden floors, Open spaces, details carved into the wood. I love it!
This is trust. I have no doubt that both Jackie and Joe were wondering what I was up to. We were having a blast as we were waiting for the last of her party to finish hair and make-up. This idea against the Glidden House front door sort of hit me in a whirl. I’m sure I had that look in my eye.
Same with these. Through that glass were desks and office furniture. It takes trust, but when I have it, we can come up with something awesome.
Not fake smiles. Real smile smiles. Joe said something funny smiles.
Oh, the fall color! We found this nook right in the center of University circle. Seemingly untouched. I love it when we happen across scenes like this naturally.
I was all about their ceremony. Nothing stiff or boring about it. It was fully laughter and fun. They were giggling, laughing, smiling. I could tell how generally happy they were.
I love this photo. Her vail was blowing all over the place. Funny enough, there were a few reverent moments (Right after the vows, for instance) where a huge gust of wind whistled through the space. It felt other worldly. Everyone noticed and took note. Everyone.
This photo describes the George sisters better than I ever could.
I told you. Everyone noticed the reverent gusts.
Ceremony details are a favorite of mine. I love how perfectly imperfect pieces come together to make something pretty. I also experience the trials and tribulations brides and grooms sometimes endure to bring their vision to life. It worked and was worth it.
The Euclid Beach Grand Carousel! It’s amazing to me how this contraption will draw a smile out of the most crotchety of the crotchets.
Beautiful space for their first dances. I really enjoyed it.
He gave a killer toast. Even a seasoned toast-experiencer such as myself had a hard time holding it together.
Jackie is not shy on that dance floor. She’s a force to be reckoned with and recognized. She’s also Britney Spears, in case anyone was wondering.
Thank you, Jackie and Joe, for having your wedding in our amazing city. Thank you for braving the wind and the onset of what could be crappy weather. Thank you for trusting me, but overall, thank you for just being your normal, happy, bubbly, hilarious selves.
