Love Hits Big in Cleveland

By July 3, 2014July 8th, 2014, photos

There is just something great about Cleveland and for those who don’t live here they’ll never get it. Joe and Lindsey know what I am talking about. It has all the big city action like restaurants, shows and sports, but with a small town feel, where people feel like neighbors, whether they live downtown or out in the suburbs. It’s why these two both live in the city. Well… and baseball 🙂

Joe loves the game, and Lindsey love going with Joe to the games. In Joe’s words “how great is it to be able to walk a few blocks from your home and be at the field”

These two love the city so much they just had to have there wedding here, and with their reception being at the Acrade, one word….EPIC! We started our shoot along the water which is always fun because with the turn of the camera you get sun, water and beautiful Lake Erie and spinning 180 degrees, towering buildings line the sky. Combine that with Lindsey and Joe lighting up the camera and bam….home run!

Weather started moving in on our shoot which didn’t seem to bother any of us, so no rain delay was called and we kept shooting for a while longer. I am so glad we did because the sky looked stellar.

Ah yes the nose touch. I used to ask couples to do this but it never seemed “real”, so I just focus on the moment and try and catch some laughter. However, this time Lindsey touched Joe’s nose and made this cute face, perfect! Here at Making the Moment we all believe there is no way to create real moments – you just have to be ready to capture them when they happen.

Ok, the weather got worse and at one point we ran for cover under an door opening by the Auditorium. We stayed dry and better than we got to talk about life, future plans and of course baseball. The rain cleared up after a few minutes so we finished up by the Key Center. A litte wet (and hungry!) these two pushed through, holding each other for a few more moments of light.

I always shoot with two cameras and I hadn’t realized that one them got water on the lens until I went to shoot with it. When I saw the water I thought maybe I will try a shot anyways and……..

I had an amazing time getting to know Joe and Lindsey, a special couple who are going to have a home run of a wedding, I can’t wait!
