I almost titled this blog post “Erin + Jay – all the way”. But honestly, that’s super lame. And these two are NOT lame, and so I went with something much cooler. You’re welcome.
The night we had the two stop by to hang out at our offices was pretty crazy. I was upstairs hanging out with another couple and Erin and Jay stopped by our office a bit early.Marcus (one of the photographers on the team here) met them when they walked in downstairs.
Obviously, that’s not the memorable part.
Marcus hung out with them for a solid 30 minutes because he was convinced they were a different couple he was meeting with later that week. Somewhere in the middle of their time, it dawned on him that he didn’t know who the heck they were.
LOL.
I’ll never forget the verbal gymnastics Marcus employed to non-awkwardly explain to them (and me) that he “had no idea who on earth they were”. It was freaking funny.
That’s life around here though – we’re a small team of five (six now – crazy – and soon to be seven!). And working around our office is full of fun stuff like this. We joke and tease each other, and really love what we do.
Couples like Erin and Jay make it the best job in the world.
Legit. I know that sounds super kiss-ass, but I mean it. I love them – I’m SO freaking happy they chose me.
Not only did we have an awesome engagement session around Tremont, but they also introduced me to the spotted owl – a pretty awesome little bar off of Jefferson that serves craft cocktails.
I like booze, and so I like that place.
Next year, these two are getting hitched – and I (not you mr Marcus – no swiping swiper) get to photograph their wedding.
Marcus would have stolen them from me too – they’re so cool and fun.
Much love Erin and Jay – I’m thrilled to know you and stoked to tell your story.
