Every year, Cleveland’s Rock & Roll hall of fame inducts a handful of worthy musicians who have influenced the heck out of the industry.  And this year did not disappoint:  Tupac, Journey, ELO. And yeah, we all know every word to Don’t Stop Believing and Gaurdians of the Galaxy 2 brought Mr. Blue Sky to new heights and we finally found Tupac… but, if we’re being honest, the best inductee of 2017 has to be these guys – Laney & Turner.

Their reactions are priceless. Turner was one hell of a dipper.

These guys are adventures, it’s truly inspiring. While they’re out exploring and Turner is crafting Laney’s engagement ring, I’m listening to an audiobook and doodling nonsense. [ or watching Malcom in the Middle, as it’s my latest obsession ]

I love how creative guys get with their socks.

… and how goofy these two are.

I adored these girls, everyone was so kind and so genuine, it was truly an honor to get to spend the day with them. I also learned that Americans’ take a lot of pride in the breed of their dogs. In other countries, dogs are dogs. That’s it.

I love these images of Laney.

The forecast was all over the place, obviously, it’s Cleveland. Fortunately, it didn’t rain…. but it was ice cold. So we hung out in the art museum.

I drove with the girls to the Botanical Gardens for the ceremony. It was hilarious, Turner and the guys were being dropped off when we arrived. Everyone was freaking out trying to hide Laney behind flowers. Don’t worry, he didn’t see.

Their ceremony was beautiful. One of their friends gave a speech and spoke the song “I would walk 500 miles” I hope Elliott doesn’t read this blog because I’m stealing that or my vows.  Turner was a bit camera shy at first, which is totally fine! Actually, Elliott [ my fiance ] and I recently had our engagement pictures done and I had a panic attack. Shakes in all. I was so nervous. If Brett didn’t tell some lame joke to ease up my nerves I probably would have stayed a nervous wreck the entire session.  Back to this guy, I really think he loosened up after a bit. Maybe it was my lame jokes, or that I had the groomsmen attack him with the spoons he made for them. [ YES! he really made these spoons, so cool. ]  Later in the day I requested that he sing to Laney and he totally did.

Oh to be a kid and not worry about breaking your ankle…. haha just kidding, if you’ve worked with me you know that I would totally do this if it means getting the shot. [don’t tell Brett] The Rock & Roll hall of fame is by far one of the coolest venues in Cleveland, I mean, come on, let’s be real, it totally is!!  So, this is Turner’s brother, Eric. His band did a set during the reception. I love watching peoples reactions, Turner looked up at his brother with complete adoration. It was so honest and real.   [ Laney’s aunt and uncle also performed. They played rock flute, and yes it’s exactly what you think it is. Flute renditions of rock & roll songs, it was unbelievable! Loved it. ]Oh, one other treat — Turner’s family sang a song for everyone.
