What an awesome engagement session I had with these two! The weather called for 20% chance of rain, so we took our chances. I’m glad we did, as we didn’t let the weather stop us from having a great time together.
What’s the best thing about shooting after it rains? PUDDLE SHOTS, duh!! It was so much fun creating the image above in the reflection of the water.
One of my favorite things about photographing couples like Jamie and Harry is that they fully trust my creative vision and give me free reign to find really unique locations. Who knew standing in front of a stack of wooden pallets would create a killer image?
Sometimes it’s about stepping over boundary lines and pushing the limits. Creating in locations nobody else would have thought could be so beautiful.
I love me some puddle shots 🙂  You get such a different perspective on creative photography when you look around and use the environment to your advantage.
I loved getting to know Jamie and Harry. It really adds to the entire experience when we get the chance to learn who each other are prior to the wedding day.
Their love shines through and so do their personalities in the image above. It’s really easy photographing couples like Jamie and Harry. Why? Because they just click. They love simply being together. They are best friends. Â Their intimate moments aren’t forced. It’s all natural.
I found a really cool, architectural wall to place them in front of and the clouds happened to look sweet behind it. I think Jamie and Harry were demonstrating their best kung-fu moves in the the image above.
These two live in the city and love riding their bikes around town. It’s always fun when couples bring props like this to really show, through images, who they are and what they love to do together. It makes our time together real and ensures the images speak more to who our couples are.
What a fun night we had. It was so great getting to know these two. Simply getting to spend a couple of hours together prior to the wedding day really adds to the overall experience. I’m so grateful they chose Making the Moment to photograph their wedding next year. I absolutely can’t wait for their big day. Cheers to Jamie and Harry and an exciting journey ahead!
