Yes – it’s official – the finalists have been chosen. And they are absolutely amazing – we are SO thankful for your votes on our “Image of the Year Competition“. We’re now in the final round, and we’re excited to see which work of art YOU will choose to be the Image of the Year. The 20 amazing images on this page represent the finalists in this year’s competition.
If you’re a newcomer to Making the Moment Photography, you might not be familiar with our “Image of the Year” competition. To celebrate all that last year was, we nominated 92 images (one from each of our weddings, creative engagement sessions, family fun, newborn, mitzvah, or commercial shoots) to be chosen by our fans to be Image of the Year.
Open Voting was held all last week, and the top 20 images were voted on by our facebook fans. Nearly 5000 votes were cast on these 92 awesome photographs, and the top 20 have moved forward to the final round of the competition.

When Does Round Two End?
Round Two voting starts Monday January 9 as soon as the 20 finalists images are posted on our facebook fan page. The Second round for voting is much shorter, with voting ending Tuesday January 10 at 5:30 EST.
How Do We Vote for Our Favorite Image?
Contestants, friends, family (enemies too we suppose) are able to vote by simply “liking” the image (or images) they enjoy most. An additional vote is available for going the extra mile by leaving a comment on that image. Therefore an individual can cast up to two votes for any individual image. But wait… there’s more!
My Votes can be Doubled you Say???
That’s right. If the person “voting” on an image is already or becomes a “fan” of Making the Moment Photography on facebook, their votes will be automatically worth twice as much. Therefore, a single voter can cast up to FOUR votes for a single image. If the voter is not a “fan” of Making the Moment Photography on facebook, their votes are worth the normal amount as described above.

How do I get my friends to “like” Making the Moment Photography on facebook?
There are a lot of ways. We encourage you to find ways that work best for you. Many people will find it easiest to “share” our fanpage on their wall by clicking the “share” link on the lower left corner of our facebook fan page. You could also send them to this page here, and have them click on the link above.
When Will Winners be Announced?
On or before Friday January 13, we will announce the top three Images of the year!
How Can I Get Lots o’ Votes?
Simple; tell your friends. Tell everyone! The more likes, the better chances you have of your image winning the competition!

- Comment votes containing profanity, violence, hate speech will be removed and not counted towards the vote tally to the given photograph
- Making the Moment Photography may at any time cancel the contest, alter or adjust the rules at any given time
- This contest is void where prohibited by law. The contestants assume the total responsibility of knowing their local laws in regard to contests and are subject to any local, state, national or international laws. Making the Moment LLC accepts no responsibility for making these individual legal determinations.
- Making the Moment LLC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or the Website; to be in violation of the User Agreement of the Website; to be acting in violation of these Official Rules; to be acting in a unethical or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, as determined by Making the Moment LLC at its sole discretion.
- Any use of cartel, robotic, automatic, macro, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods and persons using any such methods will be disqualified.
- If for any reason this Contest is not capable of being conducted as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of Making the Moment LLC, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Making the Moment LLC reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. - As a condition of participating in this Contest, you agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, or the determination of the Winner shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action exclusively by arbitration pursuant to the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association, then effective. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain awards for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than your actual out-of- pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Contest), and you further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
