One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is that my clients over time become friends. I guess that makes sense since I am there to photograph one of the most important times in their lives. So it’s even more awesome when couples I meet at one wedding asks me to photograph theirs. Yes, not only am I blessed with a chance to tell their story, but I also get to spend the day with old and new friends.

This was the case for Lindsay and Jeff who had a perfect vintage wedding, and for those who know Lindsay, it was probably planned out in her mind from the second the ring went on her finger. Ha ha…Ok maybe not that quick but she made sure every detail of her wedding was perfect, just how she dreamed it would be. I first met Lindsay at Melissa and Brian’s wedding in Michigan.

The wedding took place in Pepper Pick at Lindsay’s parents gorgeous tudor home. The vintage charm of the home set the style for the day and so many amazing moments followed.

Lindsay’s flowers were so simple, but so perfect….I loved them.

The girls got ready in the master suite and before we headed out for some fun creative images, a quick toast was needed…..Cheers!

Ok how many glasses of champagne did the girls have? just one I think.

I used the house for many of the images through out the day because it was beautiful, and so were the girls who killed it with their high fashion posing.

The guys got ready down the road to avoid the bride and groom seeing each other, but the light in the room was great… and Jeff looked sharp!

The weather the day before forced a change in the outdoor wedding and they had to do it at the ceremony under the reception tent. Jeff’s dad stepped up and took care of it. Creating a beautiful indoor arch. You may also recognize Brian who presided over the ceremony.

One of the funniest moments of the day was Brian doing his Jim Carry impersonations. With the beard he looked so much like him, so this was kinda almost a celebrity wedding.

The sun came out at just the right time, making for some amazing moments.

We went down the street from the house to some barns and fields to keep that vintage feel.

We finished the creative session at the house with some very special images. So secret charm….love it!

The reception ended the day with hanging street lights and individual vintage china place settings. Each table was set with antique glass jars and old books.

The wedding toast were perfect, including the sonnets (sorry, you had to be there to understand that).

I love the first dances at each wedding I photograph. Jeff and Lindsay’s could not have been more perfect.

So this was the one part of the wedding that had zero vintage charm but it was EPIC! That’s right, an inflatable jousting pit so guests could have mad fun hitting each other.

Jeff and Lindsay rocked the night out, the party for these two was so crazy the police showed up and told us we had to turn it down…..turned down for what?

I finished the night with the ring shots, so beautiful with so much meaning. Jeff and Lindsay’s love is the same, a never ending circle that will last a life time.
