Simple Beauty

Crafted by Brett, this solo bridal image of Amy shows off her natural beauty and charming heart. Silhouetted softly by the lake behind her, Amy’s subtle smile and beautiful backless gown win the prize. Nearly 300 votes were cast for this image in the final round alone. Read more about their day here– it was such “A Unique and Personal Wedding“.

Positive Space

Second place doesn’t mean that this image doesn’t hold it’s own – it’s a charming natural image full of character. It’s also full of two wonderful people – Chad and Kristina. These two loved us and their artwork so much that they asked our team to travel for their wedding. As you can see, it was well worth the trip. Congratulations you two!

Rachel and Anthony are simply wonderful people – we love them greatly around here – and we’re super happy that their image made it into the final 3. Captured and coordinated by Marcus, this photograph is a stunning example of a well executed and orchestrated wide-angle image. Marcus married wonderful composition and size contrast, to a stellar couple who were soon to be married themselves.

The Image of the Year Competition

If you’re new to Making the Moment Photography, you might be unfamiliar with our Image of the Year Competition. Just this week, we nominated 127 images – one leading image from each of our weddings, engagement sessions, mitzvahs, family & creative senior image sessions. Each image was then submitted to our facebook fan page for open voting by our awesome community of friends, clients & fans. Here’s the original nominees if you had missed them. After a few days of open voting, we selected the top 21 Images from the open voting to move forward to a second round. These images were voted on by nearly 7000 people, and they represent the best of our creative Cleveland based photography company. If you’d like to see the top 21 finalists, here’s the post on our top 21 [since there was a tie for 20th place], and where the final round of voting took place.

The Fine Print

* Do not hit, bite or otherwise hurt other contestants
** People never read the fine print. So sad. Actually, we will be toilet papering your house. Yes. Yours. Enjoy the gift card, the metal print, and picking up lots of toilet paper.
*** Wash your hands. At least one of us is a severe germophobe and we don’t want to get all pukey because you don’t wash your hands after you pee.
**** In all seriousness, you know we can’t be bought.  The voting is completely up to facebook anwyays.  Still – feel free to stop by with the above mentioned goodness.
***** Marcus is too lazy to come up with a name so yeah.
