Taylor and Chris brought my wedding season home with a freaking explosion of hometown, homegrown, backyarded epicness that quite literally cannot be matched. ‘Twas a send-off to finalize a phenomenal year of friends, fun, festivities and the occasional foto-graph [ B/c F’s ]
Storytime:
So, this dauntless duo works for and helps to run one of our favorite caterers, A Taste of Excellence right here in town. Needless to say, they’re also premiere, scrumptious, and desirable. Yeah. I went there. When Chris proposed to Taylor, she was already so set on us she pretty much called me on the drive home to make sure we were available. I was, and I was honored. It’s an entirely new level of awesome when not only our clients recommend/use us, but also the vendor community that surrounds us. Honored. Absolutely honored.
The wedding was held on family property, amongst trees, fields, loved ones and friends. No self-built drive would be complete without a string of lights revealing the path.
The shoes have red bottoms. I know that’s a thing right now. That’s all I know. Maybe I should become better versed in shoe trends. They were sparkly and had red bottoms.
Phenomenal dress. Two parts. Top and bottom separate. I mean, I like to think I do a decent job capturing these details but I wish you could have seen it in person.
Hands down, favorite prep image of the year. The sun was coming in through the window quite harshly. I say this all of the time, but don’t be afraid to use the sun. Shoot into it. Its light shouldn’t be avoided but embraced. You can walk away with cool stuff like this.
Shout out to Lindsay London’s hand! My favorite make-up artist in the city 😀
Mother and daughter, illuminated.
I was capturing some imagery of the dress when Chris surprised Taylor with flowers. Her face says it all. She tried to hold it together and failed miserably.
I didn’t read the note, but every female eyes that graced its message filled with tears, so I’m guessing Chris can write.
Team effort. #squadgoals
“Spin like a ballerina underneath the moose”
*Note: I know it’s not a moose
Oh, First Look, how I love thee! I gave them a bit of time after the saw her just to regroup and enjoy each other. Chris is a hearty laugher and a loving guy. I can see exactly why that embrace would be everything.
Oh that light. Oh that smile. It’s real. It’s genuine and it’s why I do what I do.
I captured some banner images from this particular wedding. Portfolio stuff. Stuff I want to enter into competitions for fun. This is one of those images.
So, ceremonies, pageantry, images…. they’re all done and out of the way. Now, we can let our hair down, bustle that dress up and use the floor Chris built himself in the backyard. YYYAAASSSSSS
Another image I’m super proud of. Candidly caught, not staged.
“You got me. Ok, you totally got me”
Not so sure that’s what he’s thinking but that’s my depiction, anyway.
Literally TRIED to make this girl look bad. Couldn’t do it. Not possible. Oh, Chris cleaned up alright too 😉
She’s got some sorta Marcus radar…… it’s impressive and yet equal parts alarming.
Go hard.
Or go home?
“Ok smarty, go to a party….”
Taylor-a-la-Chris. I’ve no words or actions to repay you. All I have are some bright flashes of memory, no regretz, and a brand spanking new knowledge of the country that I want to expound upon. Thanks for showing me how to party recklessly, love heartily, and entertain amazingly all in the same sitting 🙂 You two have a gift.
