It’s that time of year again! No, I’m not talking about the holidays [ although I am a fan of Christmas cheer ]. It’s Engagement Season! Not that that’s an official term or anything, but this is definitely the time of year where we see LOTSSSS of couples taking their relationship to the next level and putting a proverbial [ and literal ] ring on it 💍
Below you’ll see some images from one of our latest engagement photographic sessions, that of Kelsie and Brenen. These two had an incredible time in front of the camera, surrounded by the changing fall leaves, and it definitely shows! And for all you dog lovers out there, there’s a special guest appearance 🐾
Let me introduce you to our engaged couple! This is Kelsie and Brenen, an awesome pair who both love authentic, non-boring photography. You’ll see as we go, I think we delivered on that 😊.
I was honored to be invited into their home when I first arrived to help pick out their outfits, and I remember loving the striking contrast between Kelsie’s cream sweater and Bremen’s black vest.
For their wedding next year, Kelsie and Brenen are aiming for a “sexy woods” meets “enchanted land of hobbits” vibe. That might not be their exact phrasing for their overall vibe/theme, but that’s my personal suggestion.
Now, I know there are some people here for the doggo content, and I didn’t want to disappoint! This is Hattie, Kelsie and Brenen’s adorable pup.
We love when we get to bring furry friends into engagement sessions! And Hattie did such a good job, look at that dog model!
Best tip I can give for having your furry friend perform well during your engagement session? Bring plenty of treats. He’ll need it.

Every word you’ve read on this page so far regarding this wonderful engagement session has all been word-smithed and crafted by us [ we’re not only gifted wedding photographers, but also not too shabby in the content writing department ] Humble Brag / Self enthusiasm aside; we mean every word on this page, but it’s important that you hear from our couple too.
We asked a few questions of them about their session; and hope you enjoy their answers 😀
What was one of your favorite parts of your session?
One of our favorite parts of the session was getting to include our dog, Hattie. Vince has a lot of experience working with animals and was able to get some really priceless family photos that we can’t wait to display in our home.
If you could describe your partner’s performance during the session in a few short sentences or phrases, how would you do so?
Brenen did a great job singing quietly and whispering nonsense into my ear to make me laugh. It helped to make the experience more fun and make our smiles really natural. 10/10 best modeling partner I’ve ever had!
How did you pick your outfits for your session?
We picked our engagement session outfits with a significant amount of support from friends and family. Neither of us identify as particularly stylish so we got some input from our most well-dressed people, bought 100 things online with expedited shipping, laid all of the options out in a chaotic pile, and ultimately made Vince come up and help us decide. But I have to say, we loved our final choices!
