A Beautiful Jewish Wedding & Glam Reception
At a Luxe Cleveland Wedding Venue; The 9.
The Art and Story of Jeena + Dan
Wedding season sure is under way once again, and we love any time we get to spend a Saturday at one of Cleveland’s most glamorous wedding venues, The Metropolitan at the 9. A rooftop Jewish ceremony, a gorgeous and classy reception, with creative imagery at the Vault? I mean, what more can you ask for?
You’ll see as you scroll, Jeena and Dan’s love practically jumps off the screen! They were both all smiles all day. And since The 9 is so perfectly located, we were able to take a little tour of Downtown Cleveland. You may recognize some of our favorite spots, though we’re always switching it up to make it special for our couples 😉
Ahhh The Vault. It really is spectacular. And since it’s pretty much exclusive to couples getting married at The 9, it’s that much more unique and special.
Fun fact, it is actually century-old bank vaults turned classy cocktail lounge. No kitschy fake business here!
And it provides this stunning red backdrop that really makes those wedding rings pop, dontcha think??

If you don’t get a snapshot of you and your gals on the hotel room bed in your matching robes, did you even get married?
I love capturing these sweet moments shared between a bride and her family as she gets ready.
They are true once-in-a-lifetime moments 🥹
”Sam has a great sense of humor and kept us entertained all day!
Jeena [ the Bride ]The Bride
In Their Own Words.
That’s right. Every word you’ve read on this page so far regarding this wonderful wedding [ catch the alliteration there. Pretty brilliant, right? ] has all been word-smithed and crafted by us [ we’re not only gifted wedding photographers, but also not too shabby in the content writing department ] Humble Brag / Self enthusiasm aside; we mean every word on this page, but it’s important that you hear from our couple too.
We asked a few questions of them about their wedding; and hope you enjoy their answers 😀
What did you love about your wedding?
It’s soo hard to pick one, but walking down the aisle was my favorite :’)
What would you do Different?
Honestly, I can’t think of anything. Everything was perfect and beautiful.
What was it like to work with us?
We absolutely enjoyed working with Sam and Thailand. Sam has a great sense of humor and kept us entertained all day! Our bridal party thoroughly enjoyed the photo sessions too and are very excited to see our wedding photos.
Did you have a theme you were trying to hit for your wedding [ vibe / color palette / etc ]?
Classy, Elegant, and Romantic. Spring Colors – cream, champagne and blush pink flowers with vintage mauve and navy blue attire for the bridal party.
Jeena’s wedding gown had some really unique details, and she wore it like a true queen.
Step over to the guy’s side, and we see Dan also having his own special moments with his friends and family.
Never before seen: three dudes actually smiling [ with teeth! ] for a picture. Wow.
😭😭😭 There are no words.
Having your wedding reception at the 9 Metropolitan Cleveland? We highly advise a first look on the rooftop of the hotel for you and your fiance [ you’re not married yet ]. The view is stunning, and the guard rails means that unless you have 13 feet long legs you can’t easily fall off.
Dan is enthralled with his bride. They are so in love and it makes me all teary eyed. I just need a moment 😭
Don’t think we forgot about the wedding party! Yes, they got to experience the Vault as well. The vault at the 9 is one of our favorite places for the best wedding photography in cleveland; you can’t beat the moody classic look of the space for your some iconic images.
Are you inspired by how amazing looking this wedding at the 9 Metropolitan Cleveland is? You should head over to this page on our site that features more weddings at the 9 Metropolitan Cleveland. There’s plenty of great wedding photography from other weddings we have photographed there and lots of information on having your wedding at the hotel too!
Another Cleveland favorite: the historic Arcade. Just a hop, skip and a jump from The 9.
Veil action for the win!
The Arcade is always magical. What a perfect backdrop for a couple in love 🥰 As wedding photographers in Cleveland we are often photographing weddings at the Cleveland Arcade as well! Check out this page on our website for plenty of wedding photography at the Cleveland Arcade!
“I am my Beloved’s and My Beloved is Mine”. Awwwwwwwwww. Seen above is the couple’s Ketubah; a Ketubah is a traditional contract as part of a jewish wedding ceremony. Not only do couple’s sign the Ketubah before the jewish wedding, but parents and witnesses also sign. A Jewish Wedding Ketubah is usually displayed in the couple’s home for everyone to enjoy and remember!
Another fun feature of having a Jewish wedding? The wedding Chuppah [ seen above ] is a traditional place couples stand beneath [ with their parents gathered at their sides ] as part of the jewish wedding ceremony. This lovely Chuppah is covered with AMAZING florals done by Elena’s Flowers. Like seriously. These are STUNNING.
Usually a Chuppah is covered with a tallit [ a prayer shawl ] from the bride’s family! This jewish wedding ceremony was perfectly set on the rooftop of The 9, overlooking downtown.
I don’t think Dan stopped smiling the entire day.
Our little flower girl was so excited to walk down the aisle! Sometimes the kids get scared and run away, but not this little lady.
Of course, not everyone could be so excited!
Jeena was a vision walking down the aisle. And look at those proud parents!
I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but the groom’s face when he sees his bride walking down the aisle is always priceless. Always.
The most dapper little ring bearer you ever did see!
The wind makes for really beautiful movement in the images. Lucky for us, the notorious Cleveland weather held out for this rooftop wedding ceremony at the 9 metropolitan!
Action Shot #1! Pre Smashing the Glass!
Action Shot #2! Post Smashing the Glass!
They’re married!
Wild Flour Bakery does it again. Perfection. Also; you’d have to say I did a pretty fantabulous job at photographing the cake. See the rim light? That’s a flex right there 💪
How do you follow up a gorgeous rooftop ceremony? With a glam wedding reception at The 9 mint ballroom!
Jeena and Dan look right at home; we gave our happy couple a few moments to view the beautiful wedding reception set up at the 9 metropolitan before the party started.
This is where they’re both thinking, to smash cake or not to smash cake?
They chose no smash. 👏
But they certainly did smash their first dance! 🤦
I know, I’m hilarious. Dad jokes for dayyyzzzzz. #SorryNotSorry
Clutch move by our father of the bride during the father / daughter dance.
Neon signs are a trend that we can absolutely get behind. As long as they don’t have cuss words on them or were stolen from a bar the night before, they’re always a classy move.
Let’s get this party started y’all! A fun feature of a jewish wedding reception? The Horah; a traditional dance full of fun, chairs, concentric circles, and a slight bit of tension as we all wonder if your cousins are going to drop your dad off the chair.
I know this one goes into the Best Reception Faces category, but can we also take a moment to appreciate the socks??
And now for a collection of Awesome wedding reception photography at the 9 cleveland!
Are they flying away? Conducting an orchestra? Creating the next dance craze? Co-farting? It’s anybody’s guess.
Jeena came out mid wedding reception with a STUNNER of a wedding reception dress. We’re all smiling with her 🔥🔥🔥
Jeena and Dan, your wedding was truly spectacular and we are so happy to have been your wedding photographers! Here’s to you both 🥂
