You are in for a real treat with this one! Faiza + Nabil’s wedding weekend was vibrant, gorgeous, and steeped in rich tradition of their Muslim faith. We are honored to have been a part of it, and the artwork results speak for themselves! Not to toot our own horns, but we captured some really incredible stuff. I’m confident you’ll agree 😉
Throughout this blog, you’ll see tender moments, familial connection, and some really stunning decor. I mean, REALLY stunning. Like, knock your socks right off stunning. There was a really outstanding team working on this wedding. Jayna at Kirkbrides completely outdid herself and Arne at Plantscaping? Well, you’ll see.

That’s right. Every word you’ve read on this page so far regarding this wonderful wedding [ catch the alliteration there. Pretty brilliant, right? ] has all been word-smithed and crafted by us [ we’re not only gifted wedding photographers, but also not too shabby in the content writing department ] Humble Brag / Self enthusiasm aside; we mean every word on this page, but it’s important that you hear from our couple too.
We asked a few questions of them about their wedding; and hope you enjoy their answers 😀
What did you love about your wedding?
Our favorite moment of the wedding was our first look in front of all our closest family members. After all of the preparation and various wedding events, it was magical to lock eyes see and know that we were finally married.
What would you do Different?
The whole wedding week was joyful and perfect. We only wish it could have lasted longer! We would have liked to spend more time with our loved ones that traveled so far to celebrate with us.
What was it like to work with us?
Brett and his team were incredible. He put all our guests at ease and made the two of us feel relaxed and able to just enjoy being together.
What photograph(s) are connecting emotionally?
Our favorite picture is right after our first look where we turned our backs to our family and the cameras and had an unscripted, private moment just between the two of us.
Did you have a theme you were trying to hit for your wedding [ vibe / color palette / etc ]?
For our wedding day, we were aiming for soft, romantic colors with natural looking greenery, the decor blooming like the early stages of our love for each other, signifying love and new beginnings.

Can we talk for a second about Faiza’s perfect teeth? Yes, you read that right, I said teeth. She seriously has the most radiant smile [ and she’s a dentist, so I guess it comes with the territory? ]
These two images [ above + below ] feature Faiza’s grandparents, both centennials and extremely special family members 💛
The intricacy, of every single detail on Faiza’s Mehndi. Just. WOW.
Both in color and black + white, our bride shines so brightly. Nabil, you’re a lucky man.

This is the official Muslim wedding ceremony, the Nikah. They’re about to get marrieddddddd!
For this portion of the wedding weekend, the men and women are separated by a partition, as is Muslim tradition for a wedding ceremony.
I really couldn’t get enough detail shots. How could you possibly resist??
There’s always a healthy dose of emotions at wedding, between the sweet tears and the big smiles and everything in between 🥲

Faiza’s maid of honor sat beside her for the entire nikah; I have the best candid wedding photographs of her smiles and laughter throughout the wedding ceremony.
We have equal joy on the groom’s side ☺️
Remember when I said you would see tender moments? There have already been so many but I just love this one in particular. Faiza’s mom 100% 10000% loves her daughter so much.

Now let’s talk about this decor. I know I mentioned it, but you’re about to see it in all its glory! Jayna from Kirkbrides transformed the space into something ethereal and inviting. Wedding planners aren’t just about keeping schedules and organizing vendors; gifted ones like Jayna help bring the vision of a couple to real life.
We LOVE when we get to do a wedding with Plantscaping. They ALWAYS do incredible work. This wedding, they may have outdone themselves.
As I shared; Jayna from Kirkbrides was the planner on this wedding. She really transformed the wedding venue and made it SHINE. [ I am yelling a lot today, I recognize that ]
Our couple was also thrilled with the result, as you can see 🥰
After a lovely dinner reception, Faiza + Nabil made their getaway.
