What Do You Get When You Cross
A Spontaneous Couple and a Disco Theme?
The Art and Story of Tiffany + Christian
Let me tell you about this couple. Tiffany and Christian are really something special. We had the pleasure of photographing their engagement imagery recently and it was one of the coolest sessions! They both have artistic personalities and it definitely showed. They came with so many ideas but were also totally down to try new things and roll with the punches.
And let me tell you, they came prepared with props [ the totally family-friendly kind ]! They are planning to incorporate disco balls into their wedding day, so they brought a few along to use in the photographs and the results… well, they speak for themselves. I had the best time exploring and discovering different parts of Cleveland with them, and I am obsessed with their photography!
From the very beginning I could tell this couple wanted “different”. Christian is an amateur photographer, Tiffany is an interior designer with a taste for out of the ordinary. She was filled with great ideas for the session that I thought were really good. What they wanted was to incorporated architectural/industrial vibe with a romantic, stylized, and candid approach. Romantic, stylized, candid. That’s what they wanted, and I think I delivered!
We had original plans to shoot the session over in their neck of the woods [ they live near Massillon ] They both had ideas of the places they wanted to shoot at and I was excited to explore an area not familiar to me. However, as the session drew closer, in fear of weather, they asked if they could just make the trip to cleveland. They put full trust to me with ideas and locations. I’m so happy we did this.
I remember driving around Tremont and seeing how much it’s changed over the years. With all the improvements and renovations the neighborhood has received it truly is a gem in Cleveland.
They met me by civilizations coffee, I hopped in the car with them and directed to spots that I thought were very unique in the neighborhood. I was very much discovering and exploring with them. Uncovered locations of the city skyline that I never seem before!
”Edric was fun, personable, kept it casual and matched our vibe!
Tiffany + Christian The Couple
In Their Own Words.
That’s right. Every word you’ve read on this page so far regarding this wonderful wedding [ catch the alliteration there. Pretty brilliant, right? ] has all been word-smithed and crafted by us [ we’re not only gifted wedding photographers, but also not too shabby in the content writing department ] Humble Brag / Self enthusiasm aside; we mean every word on this page, but it’s important that you hear from our couple too.
We asked a few questions of them about their wedding; and hope you enjoy their answers 😀
What was one of your favorite parts of your session?
How did you pick your outfits for your session?
Tiffany: we wanted it to match the setting – while remaining true to us. I love the architectural/industrial style so we kept it simple with our outfits – casual blacks and whites. We knew we had to incorporate the black/ white, his/hers matching style vans as we’ve always been vans fans! It was also important that our style match the wedding feel – as we plan to display our images in a fun gallery-like setting during our wedding reception!
What was it like to work with us?
What are you most excited about for your wedding?
If you could describe your partner’s performance during the session in a few short sentences or phrases, how would you do so?
Where will your wedding reception be, and why did you select your venue?
Feeling full trust from them made me feel incredibly inspired to create unique images for them. I love it when we create something completely new and unique and this image hits that nail right on the head!
All I can think when I see this image is “vibezzzz”.
Disco vibezzzz. 🕺🏽🪩 They brought Disco Balls to use as props since the wedding will have a bit of disco inspiration.
The three of us truly had a blast on our little adventure! I’m in love with all the images, and I am so thrilled to capture the wedding day.
