Getting Married Tomorrow;
It’s Perfect Love, Showcased.
The Art and Story of Allie + Dan
Who is getting married tomorrow? THESE TWO HOTTIES. Why not celebrate what tomorrow will be with a look back at their fab engagement session? I found friendship with these two last fall during our engagement session, and have been looking forward to tomorrow for over a year [ I bet they’re even more excited, but that makes sense 😉]
My favorite way to build friendships with my couples [ second to a game of truth or dare ] is by photographing an engagement session! It’s a great way for us to connect with the future bride and groom and learn more about their personalities [ both individually and as a couple ]. And why not use every opportunity to create some beautiful artwork?
Allie + Dan’s engagement photography is a perfect example: it’s fun, creative, unique, and shows their true selves and their true love 🥰 It’s true folks, you can’t fake smiles like these! Even if you’ve never met these two before, I’m sure after scrolling through their artwork, you’ll feel like you know them. And that’s exactly what we love to capture.
Also, if any of our couple’s are up for the previously mentioned game of truth or dare; I’m all in. Fair warning; It does involve shots of Patrón 🫠 at the start of every round.
I know this doesn’t really give you a specific introduction to our couple… I just wanted to keep the mystery going a little while longer! [ I love intrigue ] I also love this beautiful image. I caught their shadows and reflection blazing onto one of the buildings at Case Western’s Campus [ where they met, hence the blog title ]
Introducing our sweet couple in love: Allie + Dan!
10/10 recommend pulling out the sport coat for your engagement session, guys.
Instant classy vibes, especially when your lady is pulling out all the stops!
We really lucked out with such a perfect fall evening. I caught the sun at juuuust the right moment here 🌅. Remember the photograph I opened the blog with [ the reflection in the glass ]? This is the “Brett turning around and also getting THIS picture” picture. Does that make sense? It’s weird phraseology, I know, but it’s the best way I can explain it to you without introducing a 3D model.
”We genuinely enjoyed our session with Brett. He was so professional but also made us feel totally at ease.
Allie [ the Bride ]The Bride
In Their Own Words.
That’s right. Every word you’ve read on this page so far regarding this wonderful wedding [ catch the alliteration there. Pretty brilliant, right? ] has all been word-smithed and crafted by us [ we’re not only gifted wedding photographers, but also not too shabby in the content writing department ] Humble Brag / Self enthusiasm aside; we mean every word on this page, but it’s important that you hear from our couple too.
We asked a few questions of them about their wedding; and hope you enjoy their answers 😀
What was one of your favorite parts of your session?
We were surprised at how much we genuinely enjoyed our session with Brett. He was so professional but also made us feel totally at ease. We also appreciate his recommendation to not look at the photos until we were together and to do so with champagne. Both events are now two of our favorite engagement-era memories!
How do you choose between color and black+white when both are equally as stunning?? The answer: you give up and showcase them both because they’re both stupendously fantastic!
Black+white makes everything feel so timeless and real. I hope Allie + Dan cherish these images for years to come!
We all wish we could be this effortlessly cool.
I mean, I’m cool, too. But it takes a lot of effort.
There’s such an easygoing feel between Allie + Dan, and I think that comes through so strongly in their imagery! They just enjoy each other.
Clearly they are meant to be!
And there is also serious side and a depth to them, as you can see here. *Sigh*. We love to see it.
Allie + Dan, we can’t wait to celebrate with you MORE at your wedding and keep capturing it all! We love your love!
