We recently graced the Nevada desert for fun, fellowship, and festivities of the photographic variety. We laughed, we cried, we learned to put in contacts, we networked, we ate at cool places, we clubbed (responsibly), we created, and we studied.
Basque in our success, won’t you?
Valley of Fiaahhhhh……We enjoyed killer views like this constantly. We actually chocked off an entire day. “Team Day” we called it 🙂 We left Sin City behind us and ventured into a Ghost Town. We also explored the Valley of Fire. It was amazing, and we bonded.
Great photo of Renee. Guess you don’t have to replace your window panes when there’s no rain, eh?
So, as light was fading we had Sara bust out her mom’s wedding dress. Yup. That’s her mom’s. Yup, that’s Sara. It was a blast. I absolutely love this image that Brett captured of her.
What can I even say? Vinces are gonna Vince.
Gangbusters.
During “Team Day”, we were contemplating a team photo out in this dusty field on the way to the Valley of Fire. I coyly mentioned it would be fun to just start ripping donuts around in our rented mini-van. Before anyone could really respond, I did. That turned into a 30 minute donut spree that was logged, captured, and will forever live in Making the Moment infamy. Or famy. Whatever.
Ghost Town. Ghostly vehicles.
Brett had the opportunity to speak on behalf of ShootQ during our time @ WPPI. He mopped up, naturally, sharing so much that comes innately to him, but may be difficult for others. He’s a good teacher and an emphatic extremity-user when speaking 🙂 I could watch him with the sound off.
Brett’s Stereotyped Speaking
Of course, we were there almost a week, and it was riddled with fun moments. All kinds of craziness ensued, some of which was captured and some of which will only be told in MtM folklore. Here’s just a brief snippet of some stuff that went down.
Opaque Renee. Pretty sure Amber captured this image.
We’re so often the capturers, it was very nice to be the capturees, for once. We caught some pretty stellar imagery of everyone on the team.
Yes.
Also in the Ghost Town, a downed plane. It was part of a movie set once. Very cool to see up close.
Captured on a magnificent flight back. Amber opened my eyes to books on tape, which has since changed my life.
We had such a blast. We are so fortunate to not only do what we love, but love whom we’re doing it with. We’ve truly become a family. We’re very much closer and more complete. We also enjoyed the hell out of it. It was an ideal trip because we had kick-back-and-relax time. We had personal time. We had learning time. We had everything time.
Looking forward to our next installment of “Adventures with MtM” It will be tough to 1-up this go-around, but that’s sort of what we do on a weekly basis. Continue to abound an ever-rising bar.
