Yes; the two are married. As a wedding photographer, I understand that you might not read every little snippet of writing I put into this blog as you’re going to mostly be focused on the lovely wedding photography we crafted for them all throughout cleveland, but I want you remember this one thing while you’re looking at Matt and Lydia’s wedding photographs;
That being really really really really really ridiculously good looking isn’t what makes their wedding photography wonderful [ although they obvi are ].
It’s not simply my editing on their wedding pictures that makes their wedding photography great; it’s much more than that.
It’s simply this. As a wedding photographer I spent the last year knowing them and engaging with them; all to ensure that my photography actually speaks to who they are; not simply what they are [ that being attractive wedding people my camera is pointed at ].
This is Lydia; Matt’s Bride. She’s [ insert positive and encourage adverb ] lovely.
This is an awesome baby. Why they are laughing? I can’t recall, it’s probably something [ insert cussword adverb ] funny I had said.
I think we [ as a culture ] need more reasons to drink in the morning. Bridal party pictures are a good enough excuse, but I’m thinking more “everyday” alcoholic at this point.
I love Lydia’s face in the corner here.
We’re just getting started with this blog, but before we go any further showcasing Lydia + Matt’s gorgeous wedding day, None of this could have happened without the amazing group of wedding professionals that made their wedding reception at Gordon Green happen. In no specific order, I’d like to thank the following wedding vendors;
- Gown // Le Jeune Mariee Bridal Collection
- Wedding Florals // HeatherLily
- Reception Entertainment// NPi Entertainment
- Wedding Reception Venue // Gordon Green
- Wedding Cake // Luna Bakery & Cafe
- Wedding Reception Caterer // Thyme Catering Co<
The groomsmen on the left is very much in favor of me. The one on the right is definitely not on the “fan of Brett” bandwagon. Super questioning / condemning glance my way, combined with interlaced finger hands suggests to me he’s onto me.
I’m SO F****ng jealous of Lydia’s hair here. Recall; I am a shaven headed wedding photographer, and when I see locks like this I get super envious and think of getting that hair surgery that facebook keeps trying to sell me. I’m no fool though; I’ll stick to just drawing hair back on my head with furniture markers [ way classier and way cheaper ].
Isn’t she stunning? Just wait for the first look with her dads.
These are Lydia’s fathers; Miles and Kirk. I love how Kirk is bracing miles for the moment about to happen [ they’re about to see Lydia duh ]
and tears.
And more tears. Tears all around. Just wait for the ceremony. So many great moments from this wedding captivated my heart. I know you’ll love them too.
I know you’re wondering to yourself, is that all that happened? Just a kiss on the hand and they were married?
Yep. 😀
Groomsmen dance party. Go.
This is when I told them there was an open bar around the corner.
Ok but for real how freaking cute are they?! BTW; I swear Matt is looking down her dress. Am I wrong??
“OMAGAWD Matt just looked down my dress!”
Pro Tip: Always offer to carry the heels.
The florals and wedding reception decor for their Cleveland wedding reception at Gordon Green were GORGEOUS.
Aforementioned Gordon Green; a stunning new venue in the Gordon Square Cleveland Neighborhood.
HeatherLily did an incredible job bringing Lydia + Matt’s wedding reception design to life at Gordon Green with her beautiful wedding floral arrangements!
Now comes the part where you get to see the random fun faces I captured mid-dance move of all of their favorite people.
This groomsmen picture at the reception LEGIT cracks me up. I am 90% sure he was afraid I was going to try and take his beer from him. His face is all like “Uh DUDEEEE what the hell getawayfromemeyoucreepyphotographer”.
This is the smile you make two drinks in when someone else is watching your baby and you haven’t gotten out in 18 months.
And this is the face you make when your DJ is killing it and you know EVERY word to that bon jovi song.
And this is the face you make when you have a sparkler exit at Gordon Green after your wedding reception, and you realize that you are running the wrong direction to where you thought the limo was.
